1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect
- Account data: email address and username.
- Content: posts, comments, chat messages and votes you create.
- Usage & device data: basic technical information (e.g. IP address, browser) and cookies for security, preferences and advertising.
3. Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the Service and your account (contract).
- To keep the Service safe and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
- To show advertising that keeps the Service free (consent / legitimate interest, depending on your region).
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. We also use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalize them. You can learn more and manage choices via Google’s advertising policies. Where required (e.g. in the EU/UK), we will ask for your consent before personalized ads are served.
5. Who we share data with
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database, authentication and hosting of your account and content.
- Vercel — website hosting and content delivery (CDN).
- Resend — sending account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- Cloudflare — bot and abuse protection (captcha), which receives your IP address on sign-up and log-in.
- Sightengine — automated screening of uploaded images for explicit or graphic content.
- Giphy — GIF search; loads the GIFs you choose.
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic statistics.
- Google AdSense — advertising.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States). Where required, appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are used.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and content while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your data, and to object to certain processing. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email daviduniversebusiness@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the “Last updated” date above.
